What is a Credit Union?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

A credit union is a nonprofit financial institution formed by a group of people sharing a \u201ccommon bond\u201d of employment, location or other relationship for the purpose of more affordable financial services. A credit union is owned by its members. Our members vote each year to elect our Board of Directors, which are non-compensated volunteers, giving their time and effort to ensure our credit union members receive quality service.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NETTFCU offers a wide range of affordable and convenient financial services. Since we are owned by our members, we have your best interest at heart. Success is best met when we work together, cooperatively and collaboratively, to ensure the overall strength, health and vitality of our credit union movement. The Board firmly believes the Credit Union has the power to affect positive change in the lives of our members and their families. Our credit union family continues to grow. We will continue to work together to explore every avenue and every potential opportunity for continued growth of our credit union. We exist to serve our current members, and also future generations of Northeast Texas Teachers Federal Credit Union.<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you eligible for membership?<\/b><\/h3>\n

School employees and their families (by blood or marriage), as well as retired school employees, of the following counties and districts: Camp, Delta, Franklin, Hunt, Lamar, Morris, PJC, Paul Pewitt CISD, Red River, Region VIII, or Titus. We also serve the underserved areas of Lamar County- if you live, work, or worship in Lamar County.\u00a0 Additionally, we serve American Eagle Credit Union members and their families, as well as members of the THD District 1 Credit Union and their families. There is no age restriction or waiting period. Regarding questions of membership, please call 903-785-6682 or 800-634-2923.<\/span><\/p>\n
